The Digital Media Arts instructor, Jennie Holladay's background is in broadcast journalism. Before entering the teaching profession she worked as a television newscast producer in Detroit, Kansas City, Missouri, and Columbia, Missouri. She was nominated for a Michigan Emmy for a documentary on the Port Huron to Mackinac sailboat raced she produced with North 42 Media. She has also freelanced for ESPN and ABC Sports. She continues to have close ties with local media organizations and uses those to arrange field trips and guest speakers. She is also a working photographer.
In the classroom, Holladay has been an advisor for SkillsUSA and Business Professionals of America (BPA.) She has taken many students to compete in both the state and national competitions. She has students who have been nationally recognized in both SkillsUSA and BPA.
